Kenashia Thompson

Kenashia Thompson, Program Manager for the Women of Color in Engineering Collaborative (WCEC)

Through this role, Kenashia (she/her) creates, develops, and maintains curated resources for the WCEC to help organizations find speakers and celebrate accomplished women of color in engineering. As a proud southern belle, Kenashia finds joy in working with subject-matter experts to bolster their experiences and shift resources. Before joining SWE, Kenashia led grassroots organizing efforts to prevent and end youth homelessness for QTBIPOC youth across the country. 

Kenashia earned a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the Honors College at Winthrop University in South Carolina. She also earned a master’s in Religion, Ethics, and Politics from Harvard University in Massachusetts, where she focused on Womanist ethics, Black Liberation, and Social Justice advocacy.
